Following re-issues of the first two Renaissance albums this classic debut album by Illusion continues the story. Featuring original Renaissance members Jane Relf (Vocals), Jim McCarty (Vocals, Guitar, Percussion), John Hawken (Keyboards) and Louis Cennamo (Bass), Illusion came together in 1976 following the death of original Renaissance vocalist Keith Relf (originally vocalist with The Yardbirds). Recruiting Lead Guitarist John Knightsbride and drummer and percussionist Eddie McNeil, the band assumed the name of Illuson (taken from the title of the second Renaissance album) and signed to Island Records. Their debut album was an updated version of the classical and folk-inspired Progressive Rock that had been explored on the first two Renaissance albums. Featuring outstanding material such as â??Isadoraâ??, â??Roads to Freedomâ?? and â??Candles Are Burningâ??, the album â??Out Of The Mistâ??was a fine debut. Unavailable officially on CD for many years, this Esoteric Recordings re-issue is remastered and restores the original album artwork and features a new essay. - Formed in 1977, Illusion were a progressive rock band that started life as a reunion of the original members of Renaissance. During their initial years together, Illusion released two albums 'Out Of The Mist' (1977) and 'Illusion' (1978) on Island Records. The band featured ex-Yardbird Jim McCarty on guitar and vocals, Jane Relf on vocals, Louis Cennamo on bass, John Hawken on keyboards, John Knightsbridge on lead guitar and Eddie McNeill on drums. Demon Records presents the first vinyl reissue of the band's 1977 debut album 'Out Of The Mist' featuring signature tracks 'Isadora', 'Face Of Yesterday', and 'Everywhere You Go'.
